Outrage in Michigan After Norwegian Flag Confused for Confederate Flag: Everybody In This Story’s An Idiot
This is a non story. Sorry, this should be a non story. I’ve attached the video but I’ll warn you up front that after about 3 minutes in we get into some deep Fox news takes.

I’ll be the first say that I’m strongly in favor of the Confederate Flag ban. Not to get political in this apolitical blog, but just because it doesn’t represent a deeply traumatic and profoundly painful period and attitude for me, doesn’t mean it doesn’t for others. Why would we celebrate something like that? Now to making fun of people
All of what I said aside, if you’re clamoring for the Norwegian flag to be take down because you watched Gettysburg 20 years ago and your little brain can’t tell the difference between the bad guys in that movie and those that have a proud culture of training reindeer, then you’re a fucking idiot. Taking one geopolitics class one time. This isn’t a tiny pacific island that you’ve never heard of, this is Norway: you know chocolates, bicycles chubby blonde kids, no pollution, unreasonably happy people, etc. Better yet, it’s 2020. We’ve all got smart phones so you don’t even need the high school education or the 12 hour Ken Burns documentary! You don’t even need to know how to spell! I tested it out, if you can get c-o-n you’re already there.
Second point, if you are the owners of this proud Norwegian flag and ancestry- don’t take it down! Tell those fuckers to google it! I know it’s intimidating to have a bunch of people from Michigan yelling at you about anything let alone that your property was built by Stonewall Jackson but they don’t have much of an argument here. I don’t really know what to say here- it’s one of the few arguments that can be solved by literally one google search. As much as I love hyperbole, that’s literally it. A solitary google search will do the job. And, as much as I hate to call out the people who haven’t done anything wrong other than fold like cowards- I don’t have much of a choice.
New blog rule: if you’re going to hang a flag you should be required to have the ability to prove that it is not a Confederate or Nazi flag. That’s a low fucking bar, guys. I’m not saying the two are necessarily equivalent but I am saying that both of their popularity’s are, or should be, seeing a sharp historic decline. If you don’t have the ability to disprove anyone who tells you that frog looks like a swastika- then don’t fly a fucking frog flag.
