In Brilliant Move Girl Scout Sells 300 Boxes Of Cookies Outside Of Weed Dispensary: Some People Are Not Psyched

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The legalization of California's marijuana industry and start of Girl Scout cookie sales have created an opportune moment for at least one San Diego girl.
A photo posted on Instagram by San Diego marijuana dispensary Urbn Leaf showed a Girl Scout with an armful of cookies in front of a Mission Bay storefront.
The controversial move of Girl Scout cookie sales at dispensaries has come with changing times around the U.S.
Girl Scouts of America Colorado was prompted to issue a statement in 2014 after a scout reportedly sold more than 100 boxes of cookies in two hours outside a San Francisco dispensary.
"If you are wondering, we don't allow our Girl Scouts to sell cookies in front of marijuana shops or liquor stores/bars," the organization's Colorado branch tweeted.

Well played young girl scout, well played indeed. Got to love the dad who was like, “fuck it, you wanna sell cookies we’re going to a dispensary.” To think that all it took for this to become a phenomenon was one parent who cares 100% about slinging cookies and 0% about consequences. Good for them.

To all the naysayers out there, well you can’t have it both ways, folks. You can’t make weed dispensaries legal and then get mad when kids sell cookies in front of them. That’s shaming. You don’t shame kids for selling cookies on college campuses: and why do you think that works so well? It’s not because proportionally more college kids like cookies than any other demographic in our population. It’s because college kids are proportionally high a lot more than any other demographic in our population. When it comes down to it, you sacrifice your little girl scout badge of honor the second you throw your hat in the ring of capitalism. You’re selling these cookies, not handing them out for free.

You’re competing with the likes of Nabisco, Pepperidge Farm, and Tates. You’re fighting against America’s favorite cookie! If you think they’re just going to roll over and give away their customers you have another thing coming. Here’s the thing, Girl Scout Association of America, at this point I bet you that Nabisco has an equivalent to every single one of your cookies.  What Nabisco doesn’t have is an army of little girls running around selling packages of cookies on every corner, every college campus, and in front of every weed dispensary. That’s your thing. When you say no to a box of girl scout cookies, you’re also breaking a little girl’s heart- and fuck you for that. What are you, heartless? You can’t just buy one box of delicious cookies? Is it because they’re girls? Do you hate girls? Especially little girls? Exactly.

You know what else having an army of enthusiastic young do-gooders does for you? It makes yours purchase out of convenience rather than necessity. The most difficult part of the munchies (at least how my friends tell it) is making your way to said munchies in the first place. Nabisco puts their Oreos on the shelf and makes the stoner come to them, but you take your goods right to the stoner.

So up to you, Girl Scouts and citizens-in-arms, you either hand out these cookies for free or you hop off that high horse, decide to grab capitalism by the balls, and bring the cookie supply to the stoner’s demand.
