Kid's Parents Save His Baby Teeth In Hopes Of Curing His Diabetes: What The Fuck Mom?

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – A Citrus Heights family is clinging to hope, desperate to find a cure for their son Austin’s type-1 diabetes.
The family is shining a light on the practice of “tooth banking”, preserving their kids’ baby teeth so stem cells can be harvested for future use in treating disease.
The Citrus Heights father says the news of his young boy being diagnosed sent him into a spiral of research.
His research led him to a Boston based company by the name of Store a Tooth, a place where you can preserve your kids’ baby teeth so stem cells can be harvested.
Schudy decided to give it a shot, and at the age 12, his son Austin’s last baby tooth was extracted.

Oh what the fuck? Where are my fucking baby teeth, mom? In case you, dear reader, didn’t know: I’m also Type 1 diabetic. I’m the Type 1 diabetic who ignored his doctor’s instructions not to drink and had a bunch of seizures in college, and who now is running low on insulin and has terrible health insurance (the joys of being 26): basically, I’m the Type 1 diabetic who really needs some baby teeth. What did you do with them, Mom? Did you toss them out with the rest of my shit? I can’t believe you’ve held on to every photo that’s every been taken of me but not one tiny ass molar! In hindsight, I was a real fucking idiot: getting all psyched to get a package of toys for my baby teeth that fell out, when really I should have been demanding that they be cryogenically frozen.

Well there it is, if I make it to parenthood (*cough *cough, should have saved my baby teeth Mom), I’m going to save all of my kids’ shit. Every baby tooth, bandaid, toe nail, booger, diaper it’s all going in the fucking vault. I’m going to have a safe full of just poop and teeth for each kid I have. That’ll set me up for anything. I will DNA the fuck out of any disease that comes their way. Tough day to be my parent, very fortunate day to be my kid.

P.S. Best of luck to this kid getting cured, and to me surviving.
